Dr. Andrew Girling BDS, LDS RCS

andrew girlingAndrew qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1982. He became Practice Principal in 1986, and then in 1993 established The Mews Dental Practice in Lymington to create Group Dental. Canterbury House opened in June 2011 as a bespoke Implant Referral Centre.

He has worked part time in Harley Street, and has an interest in Implantology, is a member of the ADI (Association of Dental Implantologists), and the ITI (International Team of Implantology).

 

Dr. Alan Price BDS

Alan PriceAlan qualified from the University of Manchester in 1978. After some years of working in specialist Children’s dentistry and general dental practice, he joined a large dental partnership in Derby  remaining there for 10 years working as a dental practitioner with a special interest in Orthodontics. During this period Alan also held part time posts with the Hospital and Community Services.

1992 saw a move to Spain to work in general dental practice before returning to the UK in the early 90’s. Alan has been with the Mews Dental Practice since 1997 and still retains his interest in Orthodontic treatment.

 

 

Dr Tanya Burton BDS, MFGDP, Grad Cert Clin Dent

Alan PriceTanya grew up in the New Forest before moving to London to study at Guy's Hospital.  Upon qualifying in 1999, Tanya joined the Royal Navy serving as a Dental Officer in a variety of locations and ships around the world. She returned to the New Forest working locally, before continuing her Naval career serving in Australia.  

Tanya has completed postgraduate studies with both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the University of Sydney, maintaining a keen interest in restorative dentistry and prosthodontics.

She is an enthusiastic sailor with several ocean crossings, who regularly enjoys cruising the Solent.

 

Dr. David W P Brown BChD Hons (Leeds), MSc (Endo), MFGDP(UK)

David qualified from the University of Leeds with honours in 1986, followed  by three years working in oral surgery in hospitals in Leeds, Southampton and North  Wales. Since then he has worked in general practice in the New Forest and Winchester.

David has a special interest in restorative dentistry, particularly the field of endodontics (root canal treatment) for which he provides a referral service for the Group Dental team at Canterbury House, The Mews and for other local dentists.

 

Mr Balasubramaniam (Bala) Neelakantan 
GDC no.180541 

Bala joined our practice in June 2015, to exclusively provide orthodontic care for our patients. He qualified as a dentist in 2004 and went on to complete his Masters in Orthodontics in Saveetha Dental College, Chennai, India.

Bala gained a wide range of experience, serving the NHS as a general professional trainee in Maxillofacial surgery at Aintree hospitals, Liverpool. He worked in children's dentistry at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool, and entered a career development post in the South London Hospitals Trust, before moving to an Orthodontic practice at Christchurch.

He enjoys treating children and adults to help improve their confidence - with smiling! He also works in Orthodontics - straightening people's teeth using the latest technologies available today, and keeping abreast with the changing advancements by attending courses and conferences.

Dr. Charlotte Woodward

Charlotte qualified from Leicester University Medical School in 1991 and now works as a GP in Milford-on-Sea Medical Centre, where she has been a Partner for the past 7 years.

Dr Victoria Manning BM DFFP

Victoria qualified in 1996 from Southamton University & completed her postgraduate training at St Marys Hospital London becoming a full time GP in a rural practice in Shropshire.

"I have been practicing as a cosmetic doctor for the past 8 years. I am passionate about my work in advanced cosmetic treatments and take great care and pride with each and everyone of my patients. I am an absolute perfectionist when treating my patients and am only happy if my patients are 100% satisfied with their treatment. I have a very calming manner whilst dealing expertly with nervous and anxious patients and to this avail I aim to achieve a very natural look. I have extensive skills in advanced injection techniques and have been lucky enough to have been taught by some of the countries top injectors.

I regularly attend conferences and scientific meetings and attend training workshops to ensure that my practice remains at the forefront of cosmetic and aesthetic medicine. I am fully registered with the GMC 4316745 and The Medical Defence Union."

Gill trained at the Eastman Dental Hospital in London and qualified with a merit in 2004. She moved to Lymington from Brighton in 2009 and has worked at Group Dental ever since. In that time Gill feels she has built up great relationships with her patients.

Her focus is to put patients at ease and provide informative thorough care to everyone who walks through the door. Keeping up to date on changes in dentistry is very important to Gill and she regularly attends courses for this. Gill has visited numerous local schools and given talks to children about caring for their teeth which she has enjoyed immensely.

Gill is married and has three lovely boys. As a family they love exploring the forest, beaches, taking holidays and spending time with friends and family.
